About
The Cancer Support Community supports people impacted by cancer so that they are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community. All services are led by professionals, offered free of charge, and are designed to enhance physical and emotional well-being as well as improve quality of life. The Cancer Support Community East Tennessee was founded in 1990 (as the Wellness Community Knoxville) by Rachael Young with support from her husband Robert Young and Aslan founder Lindsay Young. The Aslan Foundation has supported the Community’s operations during its development and increased its capacity for sustainability through a series of endowment challenge grants.
