The Aslan Foundation is enthusiastic to be working with the following architecture firms to rehabilitate the Eugenia Williams House and property.
Sanders Pace Architecture is the lead architecture firm on the project. Sanders Pace Architecture is based in Knoxville and has previously worked with the foundation on the historic Candoro Marble Building and Loghaven Artist Residency.
Harboe Architects, based out of Chicago, specializes in historic preservation and will be working in tandem with Sanders Pace. Harboe Architects has worked on such National Historic Landmarks as Louis Sullivan’s Carson Pirie Scott Store, Mies van der Rohe’s S.R. Crown Hall, as well as Frank Lloyd Wright’s Unity Temple, Robie House, and Taliesin West which are now also listed as World Heritage sites. Together, Sanders Pace Architecture and Harboe Architects began work on the historic structure report and recently completed the stabilization plan.
Reed Hilderbrand has been named as the landscape architect for the twenty-four-acre property. Reed Hilderbrand is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and New Haven, Connecticut. Their work includes landscapes for cultural destinations like New Orleans Museum of Art, Tanglewood Music Center, Storm King Art Center, and Longwood Gardens, as well as private residences and parklands. Reed Hilderbrand has just completed their first site visit to familiarize themselves with the project.
